Siobhan Finneran (“Happy Valley”, “Downton Abbey”) will play the lead role of DS Johanna Griffin in the upcoming suspenseful series “The Stranger” based on the novel by Harlan Coben. Hannah John-Kamen (“Ant-Man and The Wasp”, “Ready Player One”) will play the titular stranger who shatters peoples lives when she reveals secrets about them. Other cast includes Jennifer Saunders (“Absolutely Fabulous”) in her first major dramatic role as Johanna’s best friend as well as Shaun Dooley (“Ordinary Lies”, “Broadchurch”), Paul Kaye (“Game of Thrones”), Dervla Kirwan (“Strike Back”, “Silent Witness”), Kadiff Kirwan (“Chewing Gum”, “Black Mirror”), Anthony Head (“The Split”, “Buffy The Vampire Slayer”) and Oscar-nominated actor Stephen Rea (“War and Peace”, “The Crying Game”). We also previously announced that Richard Armitage (“The Hobbit” franchise) will star as Adam Price.
“The Stranger” is a suspenseful, 8-episode series about a devastating secret that not only threatens to destroy Adam’s family but also end their lives.
