More Marvel Gets the Chop as Daredevil Cancelled

Netflix has announced that “Marvel’s Daredevil” has been cancelled just a month after it’s third season premiered on the streaming service. The news follows the cancellation of other Marvel/Netflix shows “Iron Fist” and “Luke Cage” over the last couple of months.

We are tremendously proud of the show’s last and final season and although it’s painful for the fans, we feel it best to close this chapter on a high note

Netflix stated “while the series on Netflix has ended, the three existing seasons will remain on the service for years to come, while the Daredevil character will live on in future projects for Marvel”. It is unsure at the moment if these future projects will involve Charlie Cox or just the Daredevil character in general – either way, it’s likely to be a part of the upcoming Disney+ streaming service.

The cancellation leaves only Jessica Jones and The Punisher on the Netflix/Marvel roster and, while they’re are no confirmed dates, the next series are expected to go ahead as planned.

    1. Is it, though? Netflix never reveal viewer numbers so it might only be watched by a small proportion of the audience, all of whom would happily stay with the service even if it went. Sadly, these decisions are business ones, not artistic ones 🙁

    2. Everyone assumes Disney but pretty sure both parties said last year the netflix shows wouldnt be affected. Apparentlt Netflix themselves said Daredevil will be involved in future projects, which is strange cause they couldnt really be able to make new marvel stuff if disney is launching their service next year?
