Netflix has acquired the rights to a new film “Go Karts” outside of Australia and New Zealand. The coming-of-age family film will be released theatrically this week in Australia and New Zealand as “GO!” and everywhere else on Netflix (date to be confirmed). The film follows Jack, a 15 year old, who takes up the sport of go-karting and must learn to control his desires in order to win the race.
When his mother moves them to a new town, 15-year-old Jack discovers go kart racing and dedicates himself to the sport. With the support of an old race-car driver with a secret past, and his new best friends, Jack must learn to control his recklessness to win the national title.
The film stars William Lodder, Richard Roxburgh, Anastasia Bampos, Darius Amarfio-Jefferson, Frances O’Connor, Dan Wyllie, Cooper van Grootel and Damian de Montemas and is directed by Owen Trevor.
