Netflix has officially announced that they have acquired the worldwide rights to “The 40-Year-Old Version”. The comedy film won the ‘Directing Award-U.S. Dramatic’ at this year’s Sundance Festival. The film follows a struggling playwright who, as they approach 40, decides to bring out a new alter-ego called RadhaMUSprime who is a rapper. She then needs to juggle her two personas within two very different art scenes in New York – theatre and hip-hop.
Radha Blank, who directed and stars in the film, said “As a new member of the Netflix family, I’m excited about the global audience that this film will reach. I hope it will spark the next generation of fearless filmmakers in ANY part of the world.”
