Netflix has acquired the worldwide rights to documentary short “Ghosts of Sugar Land” which won ‘The Short Film Jury Award: Non-fiction’ at this year’s Sundance Film Festival. The documentary is set in Sugar Land, Texas where a group of young Muslim American men ponder the disappearance of their friend “Mark”, who is suspected of joining ISIS.
While there is no release date for Netflix at the moment, the film will be shown at both SXSW and the True/False Film Festival.
