Netflix Announced May Release Date for Lucifer Season 5 – Part 2

Netflix has finally announced a release date for Lucifer Season 5B. The final eight episodes of the penultimate season will arrive on May 28th. Season 5 has been a longer season than normal with 16 episodes in total. We have also previously announced that the series will, in fact, have a sixth and final season on Netflix. Expect a trailer in the coming weeks.

Netflix picked up the Warner Bros. series for a fourth season, which was released in May last year, after being dropped by Fox after three seasons.  Co-showrunners Joe Henderson and Ildy Modrovich said: “We are so incredibly thankful to Netflix for resurrecting our show last season, and now letting us finish the story of Lucifer on our terms. Most importantly, we want to thank the fans for their incredible passion and support. The best is yet to come!” (TV Line). The series stars Tom Ellis as the titular fallen angel and the Lord of Hell, who works with the LAPD to take down Earth’s criminals.
