Academy Award winner Octavia Spencer (“Hidden Figures”, “The Help”) will executive produce and star in an upcoming Netflix Original series “Madam C.J. Walker”. The 8-episode series, based on the book “On Her Own Ground”, will tell the story of America’s first black, female, self-made millionaire.
