Netflix Cancels Hilary Swank Drama Series “Away” After One Season

Netflix has cancelled their sci-fi drama “Away” after just one series. The show, starring Hilary Swank, was launched (pun intended) in September and told the story of the first mission to Mars and how the lead astronaut’s family were affected. Swank, who also executive produced the show, thanks fans of the series on Instagram saying “thank YOU to all my extraordinary followers who watched and supported our beautiful show”.  The drama is described as “an epic love story and a thrilling tale of survival set against humanity’s greatest endeavour – the first human mission to Mars”.

    1. Paul Clarke i guess Netflix just bin those with big budgets and low viewing figures. Some shows are renewed within days of the first season launched. I heard Discovery was cancelled but then Season 3 appeared last week.

  1. Given their answer to “What’s the most interesting bit about going to Mars?” was “What the whiny brat back home is doing”, this is probably deserved.
