Netflix Cancels Sci-Fi Series “Altered Carbon” After Two Seasons

Netflix has chosen not to renew their mind-bending sci-fi series “Altered Carbon” after two seasons. According to Deadline, the decision was made back in April and is not related to Covid-19. The series launched back in February 2018 and follows Takeshi Kovacs, the lone surviving soldier in a group of elite interstellar warriors who were defeated in an uprising against the new world order. His mind was imprisoned – on ice – for centuries until Laurens Bancroft, an impossibly wealthy, long-lived man, offers Kovacs the chance to live again. In season 2 Anthonie Mackie played the role of Takeshi Kovacs. In March this year Netflix released an anime film based in the same universe.

  1. I adored season 1 and didn’t even finish season 2 as they changed too much for my liking, I’m just gonna pretend it was a one off mini series and that season 2 didn’t happen.
