Netflix Drops Trailer for Season 2 of Z-Nation Spin-Off “Black Summer”

Netflix has revealed the trailer and release date for season 2 of their zombie-fueled Original series “Black Summer”. The 8-episode second season will launch on June 17th. Returning cast includes Jaime King as Rose; Justin Chu Cary as Spears; Christine Lee as Kyungsun with additional cast to be announced at a later date. The series is a prequel spin-off from SyFy’s “Z-Nation” and is created by Karl Schaefer and John Hyams who created the original series.

Season 1 of the show was set in the dark, early days of a zombie apocalypse and stars Jaime King as Rose, a mother torn from her daughter who embarks upon a harrowing journey to find her. Thrust alongside a small group of American refugees, these complete strangers must find the strength they need to fight their way back to loved ones. But in order for Rose and her team to brave this hostile new world, they will need to make brutal decisions to contend with zombies – and each other.

Winter comes with cold-blooded new challenges during the zombie apocalypse as frantic scavengers and violent militias battle the dead and desperate.
