Netflix Finally Confirms the Fate of Hopper After THAT Stranger Things 3 Finale

“Stranger Things 4” has already been in production since January and since the ending of season 3 fans have been desperate to find out what happened to Hopper. Well, the actor David Harbour has finally announced that Hopper is, in fact, alive! Many people believed he was still alive as we never saw his body but, equally, there were as many who thought he was gone for good. In the short video teaser below we see a Russian camp of some sort with workers building a railway line and, towards the end, is the big reveal of a shaven-headed Hopper just about breaking sweat.

We’ve already seen a teaser video focussing on the Upside Down and the tag line of “we’re not in Hawkins anymore” so it looks like at least part of the series will be set in Russia – this fits in with where the season 3 storyline was going too. Production is expected to run from through to August 2020 with fans expecting the new season to be released December 2020 after the usual 18 month gap between seasons.

The series has been a smash hit for Netflix since it’s release in 2016 and has propelled the careers of its stars including Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard and more. The previous season, “Stranger Things 3”, introduced a new location to the series in the Starcourt Mall as well as showing us a great deal about Russia’s involvement. Perhaps Stranger Things 4 will be set in Russia rather than Hawkins? Or maybe, judging by the teaser, the series will be set solely in the Upside Down.

  1. Personally, I thought it was pretty obvious he was alive and had merely been transported elsewhere.

At the very end of season 3, we see a Russian prison camp, and the guards refer to “the American”. Didn’t think they could have made it any more obvious.
