Netflix Finally Reveal March Release Date for “Bad Trip”

Last year MGMs comedy film “Bad Trip” was scheduled for its premier at the 2020 SXSW film festival with a full theatrical release to follow but the worldwide pandemic meant that didn’t happen. What did happen, however, was that the film was somehow leaked and a pirated version ended up on Amazon Prime Video… Oopses. Netflix later bought the film to release themselves and we now know that it will be available, legitimately, on March 26th.

The film stars Eric Andre (“The Eric Andre Show”, “Disenchantment”), Lil Rel Howery (“Get Out”, “Bird Box”) and Tiffany Haddish (“Tuca & Bertie”, “Girls Trip”) and is a slapstick comedy, which is described as “a cross between a scripted buddy movie and a hidden-camera prank show”. The story finds Andre and Howery pulling real pranks during a cross-country road trip to New York City.

The film is rated 15 in the UK for language, crude humour, injury detail and drug misuse. Expect a trailer soon.
