Matt Palmer’s debut film “Calibre”, which arrived on Netflix this morning, has won the Michael Powell Award for Best British Feature Film at the Edinburgh International Film Festival. Starring Jack Lowden (“Dunkirk”) and Martin McCann (“The Survivalist”), the film follows two life-long friends on a weekend trip to a remote Scottish village that descends into a never-ending nightmare as they attempt to cover up a horrific hunting accident. Someone – or perhaps both of them – will have to pay…
We’ve been completely thrilled by the amazing response from Edinburgh International Film Festival audiences and had a fantastic experience at the festival, which has been the perfect lead-up to ‘Calibre’s’ global release on Netflix today.

Ok, I’ll watch it this weekend and give you my verdict. I haven’t seen a good film for a while, I’m down to the 5.4s. xx
