A star studded documentary about the life and legacy of the late Chadwick Boseman is coming to Netflix for a limited time this week. “Chadwick Boseman: Portrait of an Artist” will arrive on Netflix on April 17th for a limited 30 day window and you can see the trailer below. Viola Davis, Glynn Turman and Taylour Paige, who starred with Boseman in “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom”, will feature in the documentary along with director George C. Wolfe and composer Branford Marsalis. Other stars involved in the special include Danai Gurira (“Black Panther”), Andile Nebulane (“Black Panther”), choreographer Aakomon “AJ” Jones (“Get On Up”), director Tate Taylor (“42”), Spike Lee (“Da 5 Bloods”) and more.
Boseman died in August 2020 after a 4 year battle with colon cancer – something he never spoke publicly about.
