In March last year we announced that Netflix was creating a new anime-style series set in the world of Greek mythology. At the time it was called “Gods & Heroes” but with the launch of the new trailer we now know it has been changed to “Blood of Zeus” and will arrive on October 27th. The series is about a young man who not only finds out he’s the illegitimate son of Zeus, he also has the tall order of saving Heaven and Earth. Voice cast includes Jason O’Mara (“The Man in The High Castle”, Jessica Henwick (“Game of Thrones”), Claudia Christian (“Babylon 5”), and Elias Toufexis (“Star Trek: Discovery”).
“Blood of Zeus” is suitable for ages 15 and over due to the violence and injury detail.
In a brewing war between the gods of Olympus and the titans, Heron, a commoner living on the outskirts of ancient Greece, becomes mankind’s best hope of surviving an evil demon army, when he discovers the secrets of his past.
The voice cast includes:
- Jason O’Mara as Zeus
- Mamie Gummer as Electra
- Chris Diamantopoulos as Evios
- Derek Phillips as Heron
- Jessica Henwick as Alexia
- Melina Kanakaredes as Ariana
- Claudia Christian as Hera
- Elias Toufexis as Seraphim
