Netflix Renews “On My Block” for Second Season

Netflix have announced that “On My Block” has been renewed for a second season. The show premiered March 16th this year and is a coming of age comedy about four bright and street-savvy friends navigating their way through the triumph, pain and the newness of high-school set in LA’s South Central neighbourhood. The news follows closely after they announced that their other recent coming-of-age series “Everything Sucks!” would not be renewed. While there is no official word, we are making the assumption that both teen drama/comedy series were ‘on test’ to see which gained better results for Netflix with the view to only keeping one.

What are your thoughts on this? Are you glad that “On My Block” has been renewed or did you prefer “Everything Sucks!”? Let us know in the comments below.
