Netflix Renews Teen Drama “The A List” Without the BBC

Netflix are said to be renewing teen drama series “The A List” for a second series. The show, originally commissioned for the BBCs iPlayer streaming service, was picked up by Netflix for worldwide distribution (excluding the UK) earlier this year. The BBC have now chosen not to commission a second series but Deadline are reporting that Netflix will be going it alone.

The show is described as a British version of teen dramas like “Stranger Things” and “Riverdale” while being it’s own unique storyline. The show follows Mia who arrives at an idyllic summer camp expecting to be Queen Bee, but the ‘holiday of a lifetime’ turns into a twisted nightmare with the arrival of the mysterious Amber.

Series 1 is available globally on Netflix and on iPlayer in the UK. It is unclear as yet if season 1 will come to Netflix in the UK.
