Two of Netflix’s kids and family shows are coming to an end later this year. “Ashley Garcia: Genius in Love” and “The Big Show Show” will both be brought to an end after a Christmas special later in the year. Both seasons only ran for a single season (although “Ashley…” was released in 2 parts) after premiering in 2020. According to Deadline they are not season finales, the Christmas episodes are standalone stories that were filmed before the Covid-19 pandemic – so don’t expect any loose ends from the main stories to be tied up.
“Ashley Garcia: Genius in Love” follows 15-year-old scientist Ashley Garcia who explores the great unknown of modern teendom after moving across the country to pursue a career in robotics. “The Big Show Show” stars former WWE wrestler the Big Show who is out of the ring and ready for an even tougher challenge: raising three daughters with his wife in Florida. Characters from both shows were also involved in the recent crossover mini-series “GAME ON: A Comedy Crossover Event”.
