Netflix’s recent anime-style series “Blood of Zeus” has been renewed for a second season – and possibly a third as well. The series is set in the world of Greek mythology and premiered in October. It follows a young man who not only finds out he’s the illegitimate son of Zeus, he also has the tall order of saving Heaven and Earth. Voice cast includes Jason O’Mara (“The Man in The High Castle”, Jessica Henwick (“Game of Thrones”), Claudia Christian (“Babylon 5”), and Elias Toufexis (“Star Trek: Discovery”).
Last week one of Netflix’s Twitter accounts announced the news saying that “The Fates have news! Heron’s adventures will continue in season 2 of Blood of Zeus.” However, just before that tweet, there was another that was removed fairly quickly… However, our friends over at What’s On Netflix snapped it up and it mentions two more seasons of the show: “The Fates have news! Heron’s adventures will continue in the next two seasons of Blood of Zeus.”
It is unknown why the initial tweet was deleted – whether it was a mistake and it hasn’t been renewed for season 3 or if someone just got in trouble for announcing it too early…!
