Netflix’s Interactive Kimmy Schmidt Film: Title and May Release Date Announced

The upcoming “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” interactive film now has a full title and release date! “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: Kimmy vs. the Reverend” will launch globally on Netflix on May 12th. The comedy series aired its fourth and final series in January this year and this will be the streaming giant’s first interactive comedy special, Netflix viewers will be able to make choices on behalf of our characters, taking different story paths with, of course, different jokes. The special will see Kimmy head out on her biggest adventure yet across three different states.

Kimmy Schmidt (Ellie Kemper) sets off on her biggest adventure yet. Three states! Explosions! A dancing hamburger! And you, the viewer, get to decide how the story goes. Will you foil the Reverend’s (Jon Hamm) evil plan and get Kimmy to her wedding on time? Or will you accidentally start a war against the robots? So grab your remote and a tray of delicious scrod, ‘cause Kimmy’s got her own Netflix interactive special!

Ellie Kemper, Tituss Burgess, Jane Krakowski and Carol Kane will reprise their roles from the show and will be joined by Daniel Radcliffe and Johnny Knoxville, among others. Tina Fey, creator and executive producer, said “I think it’s a great fit for our show and will be a great way to officially complete the series.”

The full cast includes: Ellie Kemper, Tituss Burgess, Jane Krakowski, Carol Kane, Daniel Radcliffe, Jon Hamm, Sara Chase, Lauren Adams, Donna Maria, Amy Sedaris, Michael Carlsen, Fred Armisen, Chris Parnell, Jack McBrayer and Johnny Knoxville.
