Netflix’s Teen Drama “Outer Banks” Renewed for Second Series

Netflix has renewed their teen drama “Outer Banks” for a second season. The show, which premiered in April 2020, follows a group of teens in Outer Banks, North Carolina who spend the Summer bonding, as they normally would, until they discover new information about their ring leader’s missing father – and that he may have left $40m of gold hiding. They set off on a hunt for the gold but as the stakes get higher it turns into an adventure they’ll never forget. Season 1 ended on a cliffhanger so it will be good to see how the story progresses.

Outer Banks is a coming of age story that follows a tight-knit group of local teens (the “Pogues”) in the beach vacation destination of the Outer Banks of North Carolina. When a hurricane kills the power for the summer season, it sets off a chain of illicit events that force the friends to make life-altering decisions. The search for their ringleader’s missing father, forbidden romances, a high-stakes treasure hunt, and the escalating conflict between the Pogues and their rivals turn their summer into one filled with mystery and adventure they’ll never forget.
