New Netflix True Crime Series to Focus on The World’s Biggest Art Heist

Netflix has released the trailer for an upcoming true crime series “This Is a Robbery: The World’s Biggest Art Heist”, which arrives on April 7th.  The four-part limited series is by the producers of Netflix film “The Irishman” tells the story of how famous artworks were stolen from a museum in Boston in 1990 that is still, to this day, unsolved. The series includes interviews with investigators reviewing the cold case  as they attempt to recover the missing works, unmask the perpetrators and solve the biggest art heist in history.

It was the biggest art heist in history: Over St. Patrick’s Day weekend in 1990, legendary works by Rembrandt, Vermeer and others worth over half a billion dollars today were stolen from the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston. This four-part documentary series from director Colin Barnicle covers the leads, dead ends, lucky breaks and speculations that characterized the investigation of this still unsolved mystery.
