Netflix has released a teaser trailer for Sony Pictures Animation’s “Wish Dragon” which will arrive on Netflix on June 11th. The film stars the voice talents of John Cho (“Star Trek”, “Cowboy Bebop”) as Long, an ancient dragon who has been released in modern-day China by Din (Jimmy Wong – “Mulan”). Other cast includes Constance Wu (“Crazy Rich Asians”) as Din’s mother and Natasha Liu Bordizzo (“The Society”) as Din’s childhood friend Lina. The film is directed by Chris Appelhans.
In Sony Pictures Animation’s Wish Dragon, Din, a working-class college student with big dreams but small means, and Long, a cynical but all-powerful dragon capable of granting wishes, set off on a hilarious adventure through modern day Shanghai in pursuit of Din’s long-lost childhood friend, Lina. Their journey forces them to answer some of life’s biggest questions – because when you can wish for anything, you have to decide what really matters.
Your wish is John Cho’s command.
