New Teaser Released for “Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area” Starring Squid Game’s Park Hae-soo

Way back in 2017 Netflix launched their Spanish series “La Casa De Papel”, usually referred to by its English name “Money Heist”. It quickly became a worldwide hit and ran for 5 seasons ending in late 2021. The show is now getting a Korean adaptation which will arrive on June 24th and we have a new teaser! The series is described as ‘a bold new vision of the ultimate heist’ and we can expect a full trailer in the coming weeks but you can see the new teaser below. The cast of “Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area” includes “Squid Game”, “Oldboy” and “Lost” cast alumni. The Korean version will be set on the Korean Peninsula and directed by Kim Hong-sun (“The Guest”, “Black”) with the shows original creator, Alex Pina, serving as executive producer. you can see the cast members below and keep scrolling for a short teaser/announcement video.

Led by an elusive criminal mastermind known only as “The Professor,” this band of desperados has their eyes set on one simple goal—to pull off the greatest heist in Korean history. If capitalism is the new name of the game, then it’s a game they’re determined to win.

The gang members include:

  • Yoo Ji-tae (“Oldboy”) as Professor
  • Jeon Jong-seo (“The Call”) as Tokyo
  • Park Hae-soo (“Squid Game”) as Berlin
  • Lee Won-jong (“Frivolous Wife”) as Moscow
  • Kim Ji-hoon (“The Flower of Evil”) as Denver
  • Jang Yoon-ju (“Beautiful Days”) as Nairobi
  • Lee Hyun-woo (“Exos Heroes”) as Rio
  • Kim Ji-hun as Helsinki
  • Lee Kyu-ho as Oslo

And the Task Force includes:

  • Kim Yun-jin (“Lost”) as Seon Woo-jin, a crisis negotiation team leader belonging to the National Police Agency
  • Kim Sung-oh (“Three Sisters”) as Captain Cha Moo-hyuk, a former special agent dispatched to handle the hostage crisis
