Netflix has released the trailer for their upcoming musical series “The Eddy” from Academy Award-winning Damien Chazelle (“La La Land”, “Whiplash”). The 8-episode series will star André Holland, Amandla Stenberg, Joanna Kulig, Tahar Rahim and Leila Bekhti. Stenberg stars as Julie, the daughter of Elliott (Holland) who suddenly shows up in Paris and forces him to face his past. The show is set around a nightclub in Paris and it’s house band and will feature original music from Grammy Award-winner Glen Ballard and was written by Jack Thorne (“National Treasure”, “This is England”). The limited series will arrive globally on May 8th.
