Pixar Stalwart Darla Anderson Joins Netflix in Multi-Year Deal for Family Films and Series

Academy Award, Golden Globe, and BAFTA award-winning producer Darla Anderson (“Coco”, “Cars”, “Toy Story 3”) has signed a multi-year deal with Netflix to develop and produce a range of animated and live action films and TV series for the streaming service. Last year Anderson left Pixar having been with the company for 25 years just a few days after winning the 2018 Academy Award for best animated feature film for “Coco”.

I’ve been fortunate enough to have spent the entirety of my career working with art to try to change the world, and I can think of no more thrilling place than Netflix to continue down that path as Melissa Cobb and her team are building their next-generation animation studio and ambitious slate of programming from the ground up.
