Back in May Netflix spent a massive $30 million for the global rights to a CG-animated movie about robots called “Next Gen” and you can now watch the trailer. It is based on the Chinese online-comic “7723” and tell the story of how her friendship with a top-secret robot turns a lonely girl’s life into a thrilling adventure as they take on bullies, evil bots and a scheming madman.
The English audio includes the voices of Charlyne Yi, Jason Sudeikis, David Cross, Michael Pena, and Constance Wu and the deal is for global distribution via Netflix (excluding China where Netflix doesn’t operate).
that’s a lot of money, they must be making enough to do it though
