Sequel to Adam Sandler’s “Murder Mystery” Is in the Works at Netflix

Love him or hate him there’s no denying that Adam Sandler and his films are generally popular additions to Netflix. His most recent film “Murder Mystery” was watched by over 30 million households in its opening weekend in back in June 2019. Now, according to The Hollywood Reporter, Sandler and Aniston are expected to return for a sequel to the sleuthing comedy. In the original film a NYC cop (Sandler) finally takes his wife (Aniston) on a long promised European trip, a chance meeting on the flight with a mysterious man gets them invited to an intimate family gathering on the Super Yacht of elderly billionaire Malcolm Quince. When Quince is murdered, they become the prime suspects in a modern day whodunit.

The movie was filmed on location around Europe and features a global cast including: Gemma Arterton (“Their Finest”), Luis Gerardo Mendez (“Club de Cuervos”), Shioli Kutsuna (“Deadpool 2”), David Walliams (“Little Britain”), Adeel Akhtar (“The Big Sick”), John Kani (“Black Panther”), Ólafur Darri Ólafsson (“True Detective”), with César Award winner Dany Boon (“R.A.I.D. Special Unit”), and Academy Award nominee Terence Stamp (“Miss Peregrine’s”).
