Stranger Things 4: Horror Star Robert Englund, and More, Announced for Stranger Things 4

Netflix has announced eight new cast members for “Stranger Things 4” including horror star Robert Englund as well as confirming how ‘The Hellfire Club’ will be used in the series. We previously reported on the title of the premier episode of Season 4 as bing ‘The Hellfire Club’ and what it may mean but now we know it is simply the name of the Hawkins High Dungeons & Dragons Club!

The new cast and their character bios are shown below:

Robert Englund as Victor Creel
A disturbed and intimidating man who is imprisoned in a psychiatric hospital for a gruesome murder in the 1950s.

Eduardo Franco as Argyle
Jonathan’s new BFF. We stan a fun-loving stoner who proudly delivers delicious pizza pies for Surfer Boy Pizza.

Jamie Campbell Bower as Peter Ballard
A caring man who works as an orderly at a psychiatric hospital. Tired of the brutality he witnesses day after day, will Peter finally take a stand?

Sherman Augustus as Lt. Colonel Sullivan
An intelligent, no-nonsense man who believes he knows how to stop the evil in Hawkins once and for all.

Mason Dye as Jason Carver
A handsome, rich athlete who is dating the most popular girl in school. But as a new evil threatens Hawkins, his perfect world begins to unravel.

Tom Wlaschiha as Dmitri
A smart and charming Russian prison guard. But can he be trusted?

Nikola Djuricko as Yuri
A seedy and unpredictable Russian smuggler who loves bad jokes, cold hard cash, and crunchy style peanut butter. …..Same.

Joseph Quinn as Eddie Munson
The head of the Hawkins High official D&D Club, The Hellfire Club.

We already know that Hopper is, in fact, alive and a previous teaser, and new cast details, implies that the series will be set mostly in Russia. In the short video teaser below we see a Russian camp of some sort with workers building a railway line and, towards the end, is the big reveal of a shaven-headed Hopper just about breaking sweat.

We’ve already seen a teaser video focussing on the Upside Down and the tag line of “we’re not in Hawkins anymore” so it looks like at least part of the series will be set in Russia – this fits in with where the season 3 storyline was going too. Production has been delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic so as yet, your guess is as good as ours for a release date. I would estimate a late 2021 release, but who knows, really?!

The series has been a smash hit for Netflix since it’s release in 2016 and has propelled the careers of its stars including Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard and more. The previous season, “Stranger Things 3”, introduced a new location to the series in the Starcourt Mall as well as showing us a great deal about Russia’s involvement. Perhaps Stranger Things 4 will be set in Russia rather than Hawkins? Or maybe, judging by the teaser, the series will be set solely in the Upside Down.
