Netflix has released the trailer for an upcoming sci-fi action film “Outside the Wire” which will premier globally in January. The film stars Anthony Mackie (“Captain America”), Damson Idris (“Snowfall”) and Emily Beecham (“Little Joe”) and is directed by Mikael Hafstrom. Set in the very near future, a disgraced drone pilot (Damson Idris) is sent into a deadly militarized zone where he finds himself working for an android officer (Anthony Mackie) tasked to locate a doomsday device before insurgents do.
Expect a full trailer in the coming weeks.
Mackie is producing with Brian Kavanaugh-Jones for Automatik, Ben Pugh and Erica Steinberg for 42, and Jason Spire for Inspire Entertainment. The script has been written by Rob Yescombe and Rowan Athale.
