If you want to know what to watch this weekend then we’re here to give you the lowdown on this week’s biggest and best film, TV and documentary additions on Netflix UK. Here we will give you our top picks as well as a full list of everything added to Netflix in the UK in the last week. So here are our top picks from this week’s additions on Netflix UK:
As we’ve just got through the mid-month slump there aren’t many new additions to tell you about this week – but that doesn’t mean there isn’t anything to watch. The top film addition this week is the drama Boy Erased which tells the story of a young gay man whose religious parents ‘out’ him and force him to go to a conversion camp. In the thriller Sightless a former violinist becomes suspicious of the new people in her life and their alarming behavior as she recovers from an assault that left her blind. The White Tiger, based on the bestselling novel, is a crime drama about an Indian driver for a rich family who uses his wit and cunning to break free of poverty and become an entrepreneur – whatever it takes. And finally for films we have the Adam Sandler comedy You Don’t Mess with the Zohan where an anti-terrorism soldier secretly yearns to be a hairstylist in Manhattan and will do anything to make his dreams come true.
For TV this week we have the return of Riverdale with weekly episodes of season 5. The show, based on the old Archie comics, has been a huge hit for The CW and Netflix and this season is set to continue the trend. A new live-action Winx series has also been added this week based on the anime series. Fate: The Winx Saga follows a group of teens who must navigate rivalry, romance and supernatural studies at Alfea, a magical boarding school. Season 4 of French comedy-drama Call My Agent! has been added and continues with the stories of the Paris talent agency struggling to keep their clients and the stars happy. And finally for TV we have the return of Blown Away – a competition show about glass blowing; and the action-packed anime series Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba.
For documentaries this week we have both seasons of I AM A KILLER – a series in which convicted murderers on death row give firsthand accounts of their crimes. There’s also a new Netflix series, Spycraft, which looks at how the tools and technology in world of spying have developed over the years and how they are just as important as the spies themselves.
