If you want to know what to watch this weekend then we’re here to give you the lowdown on this week’s biggest and best film, TV and documentary additions on Netflix UK. Here we will give you our top picks as well as a full list of everything added to Netflix in the UK in the last week. So here are our top picks from this week’s additions on Netflix UK:

The most popular addition this week has been the Sony/Marvel film Spider-Man: Far from Home – following on from the events of Endgame, we see Peter Parker (aka Spider-Man) heading on a school trip to Europe but then a series of events have him swinging back into action. Italian biopic Baggio: The Divine Ponytail tells the story of football star Roberto Baggio including his career highs, triumphs over injuries and discovery of Buddhism. In the Thai film Ghost Lab two doctors witness a haunting in their hospital and become dangerously obsessed with obtaining scientific proof that ghosts exist. And, finally for films this week we have Exorcist: The Beginning which sees Father Lankester Merrin heading to Africa after the end of World War II where he has his first brush with a devilish force known simply as Pazuzu.

For TV this week we have the second half of Lucifer season 5 where the Lord of Darkness has returned to hell where he tries to keep his friends and loved ones safe. Season 3 of Master of None takes a different approach where, instead of following lovelorn Dev, we see the story of Denise and Alicia in a modern love story that follows two queer, Black women. Israeli series Black Space sees a school massacre carried out by people in unicorn masks and then follows a rogue detective as he tried to piece together what happened. We also have season 2 of the Norwegian fantasy series Ragnarok, season 2 of the HBO Max adult animated comedy series Close Enough and the third and final season of The Kominsky Method.

For those who enjoy watching documentaries we have a new series that looks at the history of American food. High on the Hog: How African American Cuisine Transformed America follows chef and writer Stephen Satterfield as he traces the delicious, moving throughlines from Africa to Texas. 7 Yards: The Chris Norton Story tells the fascinating story about the college football star who defied the odds after a devastating accident. And finally for documentaries we have a new Netflix Original Nail Bomber: Manhunt which looks at the events in London in 1999 when three different communities were the targets of a right-wing bombmaker and how he was finally captured.

For children and families this week we have a new anime mini-series Eden which tells the story of a pair of robots who secretly raise a human child when humanity has all but vanished. In the drama Blue Miracle a group of kids join forces with a fisherman in order to win a competition to save their orphanage. And in the CGI animated Dog Gone Trouble we see a pampered dog’s life turned upside-down when he gets lost and must learn to survive on the big-city streets.
