Vince Gilligan, creator of the hit series “Breaking Bad”, has frequently stated that the show’s success was largely because of its audience on Netflix. In the UK, at least, it was dropped by Channel 5 after just a couple of seasons but was insanely popular on Netflix. So popular, in fact, that for the final season Netflix in the UK got each episode weekly just a few hours after they aired in America – long before the ‘weekly episodes’ we see on a fairly regular basis now. So it doesn’t come as much of a surprise that the upcoming Breaking Bad film will be coming to Netflix as well as AMC – although according to Deadline it may arrive on Netflix before AMC.
The subject of the film is shrouded in secrecy but is thought to be a sequel to the series that follows Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul) trying to get his life back together after the events of the final season of the show.
