Netflix has announced the release date for “The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance”, a prequel series to the classic 80’s film, as August 30th. There are also some new images released for the ten 1-hour episodes that features an all-star cast.
The lead cast are:
- Rian – Taron Egerton (Kingsman)
- Brea – Anya Taylor Joy (The Witch)
- Deet – Nathalie Emmanuel (Game of Thrones)
Our heroes hail from 3 of the 7 Gelfling clans. Brea, from the noble Vapra who live in the Gelfling capital city, Rian, a Crystal Castle guard from the fierce Stonewood clan, and, Deet of the cave-dwelling Grottans who never set foot above ground.
