“The Movies That Made Us” Returns in October for a Horror Themed Season 3

Netflix has announced that the popular documentary series “The Movies That Made Us” will return on October 12th and it looks set to be a horror-themed romp. Earlier in the year the films for seasons 2-4 were announced and four of those are some of the most iconic horror films ever made. The assumption is that, given the October release date, we will be getting:

Aliens, Nightmare On Elm Street, Friday the 13th, and Halloween

Although obviously this will still need to be confirmed! Expect a trailer in the coming weeks.

The remaining films that have been announced also includes two Christmas films that have been covered in a spin-off special “The Holiday Movies That Made Us” but it is unclear whether these will be ‘merged’ into a new season or if new episodes will be recorded.

We’ll keep you updated once we get confirmation of the episodes!

Season 1 featured Die Hard, Home Alone, Dirty Dancing and Ghostbusters

Seasons 2 – 4 will cover:

  • Jurassic Park (S2)
  • Forrest Gump (S2)
  • Back To The Future (S2)
  • Pretty Woman (S2)
  • Aliens (S3 – TBC)
  • Nightmare On Elm Street (S3 – TBC)
