Another week has passed and, in case you missed our social media feeds, we’re here to give you the run down on this week’s additions just in time for your weekend binge sessions. Here we will give you our top picks as well as a full list of everything added to the streaming service in the last week. So here are our top picks from this week’s additions on Netflix UK:
It’s been fairly quiet in terms of numbers this week but there have still been some great additions to Netflix UK. Popular films include the Irish movie Michael Inside which sees a quiet young man, Michael, get caught up in a drugs raid and then have to adapt to the brutality of life in prison. The sci-fi/action film X-Men: Days of Future Past is a reboot of sorts of the Fox/Marvel world and sees Wolverine travel back in time to change the past in order to save humans and mutants in the future.
Other film additions for this week include the new Netflix film Polar where a retiring assassin is hunted down by a team of fresh, new assassins. The Canadian film What Keeps You Alive has been a popular film with our Twitter followers – this thriller is set in a rural cabin when a childhood friend returns revealing dark secrets from the past… A word of warning though, a number of followers have advised not to watch the trailer as it gives a lot of the story away. And, if you like a bit of violence, there is Us and Them – a film where a home-invasion gets recorded as a protest against the “one percent”.
Two rather dark documentary series have been added this week too. The first, Conversations with a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes, uses taped interviews and other archive footage to delve into the mind of America’s most notorious serial killer. The second, Examination of Conscience, looks into historic child abuse in the Spanish Catholic church.
For TV shows added to Netflix UK this week we have a number of Netflix Originals including the Korean zombie-themed period-drama Kingdom; season 4 of the football series Club de Cuervos; we also have the return of weekly episodes of Suits season 8; and the final, ever, episodes of comedy series Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.
