This Week’s New Releases on Netflix UK (28th June 2019)

Another week has passed and, in case you missed our social media feeds, we’re here to give you the run down on this week’s additions just in time for your weekend binge sessions. Here we will give you our top picks as well as a full list of everything added to the streaming service in the last week. So here are our top picks from this week’s additions on Netflix UK:

As we reach the end of the month things are a bit quiet on Netflix – with nearly half of this week’s 30 additions being Netflix Originals. The most popular addition this week has been the return of the violent action film The Raid which sees a SWAT team fighting their way out of a block of flats while fighting to get though the drug-lord they were sent in to assassinate. Netflix UK has been gifted the new Shaft film starring Samuel L Jackson. The film, a continuation of the franchise, sees the titular Shaft teaming up with his son, a private eye, to help investigate his friend’s untimely death. Canadian heist film Recall sees a man drawn into a dangerous underworld robbery orchestrated by his unreliable stepbrother and then for foreign-language fans there’s the Chinese action film Sky Hunter. Children and families may also enjoy the CGI-animated The Emoji Movie.

For TV additions on Netflix UK this week we have a couple of new anime series with season 2 of Forest of Piano being added along with the sci-fi series 7SEEDS which sees a group of people trying to help humanity survive on a changed earth. American game show Jeopardy! has had a change of episodes with all the previous ones removed and 3 new ‘collections’ added. A new Original Brazillian series The Chosen One sees a team of three doctors taking a Zika vaccine to the remote Pantanal who clash with a faith healer and are pulled deeper into the mysteries of his cult.

For documentaries there is a new Netflix Original crime series called Exhibit A which looks into unproven ‘scientific’ techniques that have been used to incarcerate otherwise innocent people. Unbroken is an Indian documentary that looks at three people and how they healed themselves through forgiveness after loved ones were brutally murdered.

    1. As a lover of japanese drama and movies ypu dont put enough on they are really good and not as long as korean and chinese dramas .

  1. How I see things and what I read is more and more streaming services coming on the Seen now ,like Disney , apple, Warner, and more, third party content going to be less and less, so only Netflix own content will be available because third party content will be on there own streaming service soon, so I be going back to my massive DVD collection and finish the streaming services.
