This Week’s New Releases on Netflix UK (30th November 2018)

Another week has passed and, in case you missed our social media feeds, we’re here to give you the run down on this week’s additions just in time for your weekend binge sessions. Here we will give you our top picks as well as a full list of everything added to the streaming service in the last week. So here are our top picks from this week’s additions on Netflix UK:

The final week of November has been another quiet one for new additions on Netflix UK, but don’t be put off by that as there has still been some quality content added.

The pick of the films this week have been Mark Felt: The Man Who Brought Down the White House, a biographical film about Mark Felt, who under the name “Deep Throat” helped journalists Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein uncover the Watergate scandal in 1972. How to Get Over a Breakup is the story of A heartbroken ad copywriter living in Lima, Peru, who is inspired to write a blog about life as a single woman and is surprised by her website’s success. Winchester tells of the heiress to a vast firearms fortune, who constructs a mansion with a maze-like interior to ward off the spirits of those killed by her family’s product. Finally for films this week we have the horror film Friend Request, where a college student unfriends a mysterious girl online, and finds herself fighting a demonic presence that wants to make her lonely by killing her closest friends.

There have been two documentaries added this week the first is Fred which follows Freddie Foreman’s rise from poverty to wealth, becoming one of East London’s most notorious gangsters of the 1960’s. Secondly Harold and Lillian: A Hollywood Love Story sees storyboard artist Harold Michelson and his film researcher wife, Lillian, recall the influence they had on 60 years of Hollywood’s biggest hits.

The pick of this weeks TV series have been 1983 a dark alt-history thriller, where a naïve law student and a world-weary detective uncover a conspiracy that has tyrannised Poland for decades. Judge vs. Judge [Nothing to Lose] a Korean series which sees an unconventional judge set out to prove the innocence of her brother, a convict accused of rape and murder, with the help of a fellow justice. Death by Magic follows Magician Drummond Money-Coutts as he travels the globe, sharing his infectious love of his craft and attempting feats that proved fatal to other magicians. Season 3 of the Netflix original adult animation F is for Family has also been added this week.

For younger Netflix fans this week we finally have Minecraft: Story Mode where they can take control of an adventure set in the Minecraft universe. The future of the world is at stake, and their decisions shape the story, and it can be great fun for the whole family to join in with. Pocoyo is a friendly toddler, for whom adventure is the name of the game in a lifelike and richly coloured animated adventure series for preschoolers. Season 2 of Netflix Original Spy Kids: Mission Critical has also been added this week.

Finally for this week as we’re steaming towards Christmas we have had some lovely Netflix Original films added for your festive family viewing firstly,  A Christmas Prince: The Royal Wedding, which is the sequel to last years A Christmas Prince.  And, Angela’s Christmas, an animated tale where a trip to church with her family on Christmas Eve gives young Angela an extraordinary idea. Remember, you can see all the Christmas TV and films available on Netflix UK by visiting: https://uk.newonnetflix.info/christmas
