This Week’s New Releases on Netflix UK (8th June 2018)

Another week has passed and, in case you missed our social media feeds, we’re here to give you the run down on this week’s additions just in time for your weekend binge sessions. Here we will give you our top picks as well as a full list of everything added to the streaming service in the last week. So here are our top picks from this week’s additions on Netflix UK:

The most popular additions this week have been Ghostbusters, the 2016 remake of the 1980’s classic with an all-female team of ghostbusters and Chris Hemsworth as their receptionist. The Edge of Seventeen, Which tells the story of teen cynic Nadine’s life. Also popular this week is the Netflix original documentary series The Staircase, which asks was the death of author Micheal Peterson’s wife murder or a tragic accident.

For those of you that like to watch content where English is not the original language, we have José José, el príncipe de la canción, a dramatization of the life of Mexican singer José José including his rise to fame, romantic conflicts and struggles with substance abuse. Also we have Franco Escamilla: Por la anécdota, which is a stand-up show from Mexican comedian Franco Escamilla.

For younger viewers this week we have Dinosaur King, which sees Max, Rex and Zoe race the evil Alpha Gang as they travel the globe in search of living dinosaurs. And for family film night we have Alpha and Omega, which tells the story of when park rangers capture alpha wolf pup Kate and omega wolf pup Humphrey, and the two end up in a strange land and must find their way back home.

Other notable additions are Treehouse Detectives, when their animal friends need help, brother-and-sister team Toby and Teri use the clues and follow the facts to solve mysteries in their own backyard. Martha Bakes, Culinary icon Martha Stewart shares professional-level tips, techniques and recipes in a teaching course designed for home bakers. Class a doctor who spin-off, and Alex Strangelove where High school senior Alex Truelove’s plan to lose his virginity to lovable girlfriend Claire goes awry when he meets the equally loveable Elliot.
