Camila Mendes (“Riverdale”) stars in a brand new thriller film that’s coming to Netflix later this month. “Dangerous Lies” premiers globally on April 30th and follows Katie Franklin (Mendes) as a waitress who loses her job. She takes on a new job as carer for a wealthy elderly man in his sprawling, empty Chicago estate but as the two grow close, he unexpectedly passes away and names Katie as his sole heir. Katie, along with her husband Adam (Jessie T. Usher) are pulled into a complex web of lies, deception, and murder. If she’s going to survive, Katie will have to question everyone’s motives — even the people she loves.
The film was originally announced as “Windfall” and other cast includes Jessie T. Usher (“Independence Day: Resurgence”, “Shaft”), Jamie Chung (“The Gifted”, “Big Hero 6”), Cam Gigandet (“Ice”, “Twilight”), Sasha Alexander (“Shameless”, “Bernard and Huey”) and Elliott Gould (“Ocean’s Eight”, “Ray Donovan”).
