Whats Coming to Netflix UK in April 2017

According to Vodzilla we’re in for some treats with regards to new additions on Netflix UK throughout April. As well as all the global Netflix Originals we post about separately there are a lot of great shows and films on their way. Some of the highlights include:

The Babadook (16th April) – this genuinely creepy psychological horror film (read our review here) is making a welcome return to Netflix in April. Sam lives with his mum after the tragic death of his dad and one day finds a book called “The Babadook”. Neither Sam or his mum have ever seen the book before and it’s not long until the creepy book starts to come to life.

Ghostbusters 2 (5th April) – another film making it’s way back to Netflix UK! The sequel to the classic comedy ghost flick sees our hero’s returning to save New York on New Years’ Eve.

Matilda (19th April) – based on the book by Roald Dahl and recently made into a stage show by Tim Minchin, “Matilda” be a great addition for many families. Telling the tale of 6 year old Matilda as she discovers her hidden talents in order to get her own back on bullies and mean-spirited teachers.

There are a few TV series making a return in April as well with weekly episodes of “Better Call Saul” season 3  every Tuesday from 11th April, the final part of “Pretty Little Liars” season 7 on Wednesdays from 19th April and “iZombie” season 3 weekly from 5th April.

  1. Wow. That is a truly bad selection once again. I know Netflix are concentrating more on tv and originals, but there is literally 1 film on that list less than 5 years old that a) I’ve heard of and b) I haven’t seen (The Magnificent Seven). That and Better Call Saul are all that April has in store for me.

    1. There’s maybe three films on that list that I will watch (not including the films I haven’t heard of that may prove worthwhile), so that (and Better Call Saul) is easily worth a fiver or so.

  2. This is a list of the known additions in April. There have already been programmes added up to 04/04 that do not appear on this list. I’m looking forward to seeing 2057: The World in 50 Years (not on this list but up from today), The Magnificent Seven and iZombie. Maybe there’ll be more.

    1. Yes, you’re correct. I should have clarified that these are the known ones and that there will be others too (and also ones here that don’t end up being added – like Pepper Pig S3-4)
