What’s Coming to Netflix UK in August 2017

Welcome back to another update of what’s New On Netflix UK for the month of August. Here, with the help of Netflix and Vodzilla, we will give you the rundown of what new films and TV shows will be added next month. As well as all the global Netflix Originals we post about separately there are a lot of great shows and films on their way – so let’s jump straight to our top picks for new additions to Netflix UK in August.

New Movies on Netflix UK for August

August sees the arrival of some great Netflix Originals (which we discuss weekly) including the live-action remake of classic Manga/anime “Death Note” (25th August) and the documentary about Russian doping in sport, “Icarus“. Groundhog Day-style film “Naked” (11th August) sees Rob repeating his wedding day over and over again until he gets it right.

Other movies for August include the action-packed “Triple 9” (19th August) starring Anthony Mackie, Woody Harrelson, Norman Reedus, Aaron Paul, Kate Winslet and more, sees corrupt cops and a gang of criminals coming together to pull of their biggest heist. “Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd” (1st August), the prequel to a much better film, is coming next month alongside the much better “Gothika” and “Boyz n the Hood

For the younger viewers the great British kids film “All Stars” (1st August) makes a welcome return as well as “Horrid Henry: The Movie“.

New TV on Netflix UK for August

First up we have “Marvel’s The Defenders” (18th August) which sees Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist teaming up to fight crime in New York. There’s also the great Adult Swim cartoon “Rick and Morty” – season 3 of which will be added weekly to Netflix UK. The autism coming-of-age comedy/drama series “Atypical” (11th August) arrives this month too.

Season 1 of BBC drama “New Blood” (1st August) will be joining Netflix UK alongside season 1 of “The Mist” – a new horror series based on the classic Stephen King novel.

Series updates for August include seasons 3-4 of “Blackadder” (15th August) and for the younger viewers there are new seasons of “Home: Adventures With Tip & Oh” (season 3, 11th August), “Voltron: Legendary Defender (season 3, 4th August), “Dinotrux” (season 5, 18th August) and “Dragons: Race to the Edge” (season 5, 25th August).

I’m sick of Netflix to I’ve been with them pretty much since they came to UK and the quality of content is now terrible yes they have some good Netflix original series but apart from that everything else seems to be crap I’m sick of most of the new additions being foreign I pay for the UK service not a Korean or Indian service I think we should be able have the same quality as other countries like USA or Australia it would be nice to have some decent films to watch

      1. You want a UK service so don’t want Korean or Indian. Yet you want American films? Seems odd… Wanting the same content worldwide means we also get Korean and Indian stuff too. You don’t HAVE to watch it. But guess what? America and Australia also get them…
