Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later – Trailer

Way back in 2001 there was a wet hot American summer. Or, rather there was a film released called “Wet Hot American Summer” – a hilarious spoof of so many 80’s holiday camps. The film was set on the last day of Camp Firewood with various counsellors trying to complete their business… 14 years later and we were treated to a Netflix Original Series of “Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp” – a prequel series that, you guessed it, was based around the first day of Camp Firewood. The beautiful part being that the original cast played their old parts – so older cast members were playing the younger versions of themselves – it can make it confusing to watch at times though when 35 year olds are playing the parts of 16 year olds!

Today, Netflix have released a trailer for another series – this time based after the original movie: “Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later”. The new series, due to arrive on August 4th, sees the counsellors, again played by the original cast, meet up for a 10 year reunion. You can see the trailer after the announcement text below:

Sometimes, in order to move forward…you have to go back.
